Huh. Are you sure? I mean, I'd understand and probably expect them to stage and broadcast it during EU prime time, so early in the morning local time, but other than that I don't see what would speak against the contest being held there. The travel costs would be higher, true, but I don't think those make up most of the costs for each participating country anyway?
I think if this happened Alex Jones would have a fit. This is trying to expand the borders of Europe through song! It's the most insidious thing anyone has ever seen. Israel are already in there too. QED!
Then again he has a fit at least once a week so it's probably no thing.

Will Russia boycott Eurovision and withdraw. Will they participate and how will the Ukrainian hosts greet them.

And the answer is... (
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-39354775) They won't! Ha-ha :(
I'm kind of hoping it will suck, because then I'd be able to say "see, that's what happens when you allow politics into this otherwise great event, which should be bringing peoples closer together, instead of pulling them apart!" Oh well.
[EDIT] Even if they end up allowing her to participate, I'd still think the Russian singer won't (and shouldn't) win. How about we finally get a winner because the SONG and SINGER are good, and not because of political/social/tugging-on-heartstrings issues? And one who sings entirely in their own language.

To be fair, it was a dick move by the Russians to shamelessly take advantage of a disabled singer in order to score some sympathy points. Perhaps she's a great singer and a fantastic performer - I don't know as I've never even heard of her before this - but I have a feeling that Russia sent her only because they were certain that Ukraine would ban her, and they wanted to stir up some drama.

It was, no doubt about that. But Ukraine's decision to use that particular song last year was as calculating, IMO. I don't even blame them - they have the Crimean crisis and want to score international sympathy points wherever they can get them, which is more than understandable. I blame EBU's decision to allow it. So I don't blame Russia either. I read some idle speculation somewhere that they are expecting to get booed in the Ukraine, so they specifically went with a disabled singer in order to cut the booers' legs from under them, so to speak. There might even be some small kernel of truth here, who knows.
My wife's Russian and she said the guy charged with organizing the Russian entry said himself that they were specifically looking for "a singer with a story". So yeah, we have a proverb, that roughly translated means "as the call, so the echo", or maybe "what goes around, comes around", so I'm just gonna make me some popcorn and watch the show before the show, so to speak.

Well after Russia's invasion of the country, you can't blame them.

Meanwhile, I expect the UK will actually get negative points this year.

I don't care about the contest, but it's still bad when propaganda gets a hold of such things. Sports events too.

As usual, we shall just have to content ourselves with having 6 of the 14 best selling music artists of all-time instead.

Depending on which musical category your restricting that to, most likely.
