Well, there you go. We now know that squiggles is capable of deploying ad hominems and hyperbole, but doesn't quite have a handle on irony yet.

I admit I don't grope around for lose-lose situations as hard. :(

Wait a minute, I did know what ad hominem was. You ppl confused me. I have no problem with ad hominem and yes, I use it liberally as long as it adds something to the argument. And it sometimes does, whether you like it or not. If you find it insulting, your problem.
I invite ad hominem used against me, if it's in a relevant context.

An ad hominem fallacy is a counterpoint that attacks the person, rather than the presented argument, you fuck.
If it attacks an aspect of the person that's relevant to the argument, it's not a fallacy. Can we agree on that?

That's exactly the point. It's a method used to deflect the course of the actual argument into a downward spiral of insults, and it works because people are emotional creatures.

Besides the point. Prolonged bouts of attacking a person's character will not lead to healthy discourse, unless the discussion is
about your character. Even then, I wouldn't call that sort of sparring match healthy. Good work on avoiding that in the SS subforum, by the way.
To take another example - if we're discussing your taste in underwear, it's easy to wade into muddy waters with subjective declarations of quality; I personally have no issues with leopard trim as long as it's not forced in my face.

Since when is it ok to bypass bans by signing up for a new account and then exhibiting the same schizophrenic posting habits that got you banned in the first place?
