I played a couple matches of multiplayer last night and kiiiiicked ayyyyssssss. It does have a leveling up system, but thankfully that doesn't seem to skew matches in favor of high-level players much, if at all. I came in second on the leaderboards both matches, and when I faced off against a lvl22 player in the first one I killed him 3 times in a row. I think some of the weapons are unlocked later on, but you do get the rocket launcher right away, and the rocket launcher is all I need, baby! :cool:
