I've been avoiding specifics but I'm pretty sure you can carry all the weapons in SP, no two weapon limits. There are some weapon upgrades and alternative fire modes though you'd have to look it up, maybe in the (

That would be excellent.

That's a shame, it looks like they're focusing heavily on the multiplayer / deathmatch aspects, which I have zero interest in.

They do seem to focus majority of their marketing on MP though it's worth mentioning that the MP is not being done by id but by Certain Affinity. The main team at id is working on the campaign.

I agree with NV...I have zero interest in multiplayer. It's only the campaign that really matters.
That will be the true test of its worth.

For legit reasons or for "game fuckn crashd" reasons?

It seems people are furious it's not Quake 3. On top of that they're furious it has loudouts instead of collecting weapons on levels themselves and that there're unlocks as you level up. Then they're furious because it reminds them of Halo (which is hardly surprising considering MP is done by Certain Affinity). And then there are people who have lost their shit because of unskippable logos. Also lots of the usual 'id sucks' comments.
I can't comment on it myself because I won't play it until the release (gotta buy a new PC first) and because I personally don't care about MP. I'm just disappointed that so much attention is being focused on MP instead of the campaign. Hopefully it's not because the SP is lackluster, or something.

Well it's encouraging that none of those seem to be core gameplay concerns.
