All this talk of movies and tv shows has got me thinking about how we watch our media.
I've been dabbling with bbc iplayer recently which led me onto trying out Hulu (yes I live in London, but i still tried it and enjoyed it). I know there are a few others out there which are also good but those seem to be the big two.
Then I realised: i havent actualy watched a show on "normal" terrestrial tv in close to 4 months now. By that I mean switching onto ITV or C5. I dont count the football as I would normally head to the pub to watch that and I dont have Sky Sports here anyway.
All i have is my laptop hooked up to a 32'' Samsung hdtv and I'm quite content to stream my (be it American) or British tv shows through that.
So how do you watch your shiznit?

I have no TV so all the shows I watch are on the web, be it Hulu or the network sites. Otherwise it's DVDs (no Blue-Ray, yet).

Yep, it's either Hulu or Netflix for me. (or abc.go.com for Lost, since Disney refuses to play nice with others.)
Haven't had a cable subscription for years, now.

via terrestrial TV and Bittorrent. I'm not going to wait several months or more to see all of the American and British TV that I'd like to watch.

How do you get it to work? I get the same as Kolya. I fucking hate territorial internet feeds.
I generally do bit-torrents for shows I like but don't love (not many) and buy the DVDs for those that I love (generally after having watched it on TV via bit-torrent).

Use that to access Hulu.
The only annoying thing I've found with Hulu is the buffering is utterly insane. Like every 2 min or so...if theres a way around that then I dont know as my net connection is quite fast.

It's a mix for me. I find the on demand bit of the cable service I use (Virgin) to be pretty broad ranging and reliable and it's also better quality than site streams so I still subscribe.
I watch programmed TV less than ever though. I watch BBC Four, Current, a bit of Never Mind the Buzzcocks on Dave and that's about it.

Haven't watched normal TV in over four years. I've seen the entire BSG series on syfy, Arrested Development on hulu, and a ton of other shows on streams. What's funny is the "illegal" sites have better streams than the lame-ass embeded players the major networks have on site.
Online, I've also watched:
Weeds
Dexter
The Sopranos
Lost
Smallville
Currently watching the Wire
I saw an actual TV commercial for the first time in forever the other day and had forgotten how utterly inane and pandering they are. No wonder America is stupid.
