I just made a donation, transaction ID *snip*. I would like to be granted the email address *snip* (...I hope someone is still administering the donation perks?) Thank you muchly and I look forward to becoming part of the community!

Oh and, expect yearly donations from me :) I love to see that the Looking Glass community never dies and this site will be an important conduit when I'm able to devote more time to game development projects of my own (expect info on a Descent/II "spiritual successor" by the end of the year.)

I don't administer donations myself but I'll check with the person who does. Best thing to do in future is send a PM to myself or another admin - that way you don't end up on Queue's "special" mailing list :)

I certainly would have done that, but after looking in the usual places I came to the odd conclusion that these boards have no PM function. I guess I'm an idiot; I'll look harder.

Is PM synonymous with Visitor Message around here?
Al_B on 26/4/2013 at 11:57
No - those are messages that you publicly "post" on someone's profile - i.e. everyone can see them.
You can send a private message by clicking on someone's name and choosing "Private Message" from the pop-up menu, clicking on the "View Site Leaders" link at the bottom of the main page and choosing "Send PM" or by going to your inbox from either the "Private Messages" link in the forum toolbar or the Notifications drop-down in the top right and choosing "Send New Message".

By the way, I'm not very secretive and protective of my "personal assets" because life is too short to spend proctecting yourself from life, and if some dickweed wants to send pictures of his genetalia to a stranger at any given opportunity because he has nothing better to do with his sorry life, by all means let him.

A lot of people like to spend less time deleting spam and would rather do other things with that time. *shrug*
Queue's the least of your worries, anyway, compared to the spam you'll get from 'bots that copy your address.
