I'm just here to remind the OP that John P's texture pack can be applied to improve all sorts of textures.

That's all well and good...but....
It shouldn't have to be that way. Crouching and creeping makes no sound...so we shouldn't crouch/ creep? Wall hugging has a bug that makes the player invisible...so don't wall hug? Why bother playing? Just install Thief 1 or 2. We've got the editor, somebody should be interested in at least
trying to fix some of these things.
Of course you've convieniently overlooked the gameplay killing AI bug that Thief1 and 2 both have that let you BLACKJACK a fully alert guard who is chasing you in attack mode simply by standing in a shadow, and leaning forward as you swing. Combined with speed jumping in Thief1, this bug ruins the game for me just as much as the crouch bug in Thief 3 does, because I can't help but exploit it sometimes....
(And the only way to "fix" it is to apply the ultimate difficulty mod....)
It would be nice if someone would do a toned down version of the ultimate difficulty mod that just fixes this bug. (Which it could do by adjusting the sensitivity of the AI awareness cones slightly)

OWNED :ebil:
People who say forward-lean blackjacking is not an exploit are just lying to themselves.

It's not an exploit when you use it to gain a little bit of extra range, (you could lean forward in real life) but it is an exploit when you use it to knock out an alerted AI...

Yeah, that's what I meant.

Worry not, I was just joking :)
Interesting that you can still dump the UnrealScript - but the main problem is the absence of ucc.exe. Without that you can't compile the code, so it doesn't get us very far, except some insight into how everything is working.
I wonder if you can steal ucc.exe from UT2004.
Perhaps try putting ucc.exe and core.dll from UT2004 into the T3Root/System folder.
You can run it, but you need to run it with the parameter "ucc make" according to my programmer.
Not sure if it will work for T3, but it could very well be something that Ion didn't need to change.
My knowledge of coding is very limited, to I recommend someone familiar with Unreal Script compiling try it out and see if it works.

1. Why is a fully alert human being incapable of being knocked out? It sure happens often in boxing matches, car accidents, and the like. Perhaps they were not fully alert?
2. I can lean forward. If I try really hard, I can even swing my arm when I do so. I see no reason why the in-game character shouldn't be able to as well.

I took a look at T3HumanBehaviorModel class and it looks like this quirk can be modified. There is a couple of variables with very promising names, such as BluntStimKnockoutAlert_Max and FatigueThreshold.

Knocking someone out who is alert is hardly a bug, it's realistic.

Just like how being silent when crouching is realistic?
