This is probably a dumb question, but after placing a portal I notice(while in the editor) that on one side it's invisible, and on the opposite side, solid looking. Does the solid side need to be facing a particular direction to be effective? Or does it not matter? I'm not quite sure how to check if my zones are working properly.
Thanks!

Doesn't matter.
To see your zones in the 3d view, you can click the button that looks like a cube with a plane going through the middle of it or hit Alt+2. This is while in unreal mode, and it will change all the textures to flat colors. Each different color is a different zone.

Was hoping that was the case.
Thanks Krypt

As an aside, if a portal is solid looking and getting in the way (which it probably will be), you can select the surface in the 3D view, bring up Surface Properties and set the Invisible flag.

I was wondering if something like that might be possible. Thanks for the info :)
