I remember taking a biology exam that had an excerpt on an allele. Of course, I can't say a bio exam is a good source, so I can't stand up and say "Yar, this mutation does indeed make you immune", but it is possible that such a mutation does exist, and does increase your resistance to infection, or increase the duration of time before AIDS actually fully sets in.
