Well, I tried .bmp, didn't work. If I didn't word my previous post properly, lemme retry.
Each frame is split into 9 parts, and I can't place them all in one file to place them together to make a frame.

Then you need to learn how to use an image editing program.

Use a graphics program like (
http://portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/gimp_portable) Gimp to do that first (or Photoshop if you have it), then save the frame as BMP.

Yeah, you're right. I had been forgetting to lasso it. My bad.

Holy crap...how many programs do you use at once?
Looks good. I didn't know Vista could do animated backgrounds (then again, maybe Business can't).

It doesn't count as a lot of programs if you don't have to bring the taskbar up to two rows to see them all properly. ;)

It's limited to ultimate.
And I've had to bring the bar up to two before, was pretty annoying. I just like to keep my stuff up.

Even Windows XP could do animated backgrounds if you set a HTML page with an animated .gif as the desktop, IIRC?
It slows your computer down needlessly, though. I never see my desktop anyway, I always have maximised programs running.
You end up with a lot more tabs in the taskbar if you have that annoying "group similar icons" option turned off. I don't like that feature, I like to be able to see what I have running thank you.
