I'm registered on the Official Forums (same name), but I do mostly browse very rarely posting. I've obviously missed all the problem threads, because I don't find the boards to be that bad at all, most of the threads having fairly intelligent posts in them, but then I do pick and choose what I read. I don't find that most of the posters are operating at the same intelligence level as I find on places like the Official Quake 3 & Unreal Tournament boards.
I don't really like avatars either, but again they are fairly restrained compared to the avatars and signatures I see elsewhere (mainly on UT boards). Bottom line is I've seen (and visit) far worse forums than the official ES boards.

The official forums don't have Tuco, therefore they suck.

Both Jordana and Striker will no doubt confirm that the lore section of the official forums is really the only one worth bothering with. There is some good stuff for the dedicated fan there. The mod section may well be wonderful too, on second thoughts, but I never checked it out, because I can't use the CS at all.
I like ttlg much more, on the whole.

Yeah, I'd go along with that.....the mod. section can be quite helpful as well, but as I said I find the sheer number of posts impossible to keep up with. The rest of the forum...well there are some genuinely nice people there, a couple of whom I talk to sometimes, but it's just too big!
The game developers do post there sometimes, which is nice.....I think they do take note of people's feedback.

oh geeze, i've been a member there for a coupla years, but i don't post a heckuva lot. and there really are so many clueless gamers there, that i just get depressed. i really like the Mod section tho. i love the MW CS, and there are so many people there who really know their stuff and they're pretty helpful too. i learn a ton just by searching for whatever it is i wanna know about.
i prefer smaller, friendlier forums tho. like ttlg. :D
