Collide always seems ready to poke fun at themselves and the entire genre. This type of thing is best when tempered with a sense of humor.
Which is part of why I like them.
Also, Deus Ex 2's Kidney Thieves band is pretty good.

I am just naive enough to be able to take this sort of thing seriously, and I think obvious humour would ruin my yoof rebel goff emo angst moods. Maybe when I am a grown up I will become immune to all influence, like you cool people, but not yet.
(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6i-od5222c) this isn't*. Any claims that it is an elaborate parody or deconstruction of something or other will be ignored. Then I may cut myself.
*please ignore the animé wankery, it was the only vid I could find.

Maybe but when you are already cool enough that tongues stick to you it's time to stop anyway.
LOL Kermit on smack.

missing the point RBJ, that needs more of this:
You may think I'm missing the point, but you don't know dark and disturbing until you've heard a disco version of
C Is For Cookie.

I think AR Master's initial response was one of the most eloquent I have ever seen.
(For you folks that like Kidney Thieves, check out Chiasm as well.)
The whole train of thought in this topic reminds me of a quote I saw, on the william gibson forums:
"Goth? Emo? In my day we just called them teenagers."

I would post some tips there, but listening to that stuff right now makes me too lazy to register.
