Have an idea to open personal homepage. Does anybody have some experience where to go first?
Maybe you people know good freehosting or something.
Any advise appreciated

There's Geocities, Angelfire (I use that), Excite, and Tripod. You can probably make better web sites (apart from Microsoft FrontPage) with Adobe GoLive or Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Check out your ISP, they usually have web space for account holders.

I have a website
visit it
EDIT: it wasn't free though, I'm hosting with parcom.net which is costing all of $3.90 per month for 50Gb bandwidth, and cost about $15 to register the domain in the first place (a .com).

Unfortunately, most free websites either plaster your site full of advertising, are lacking important features such as FTP upload accesss, are unreliable, or a mix of all three.
I've personally been looking for a new free web host for some time. I recently had an encounter with a too-good-to-be-true sounding one called freeandinstant.com - and they were just that. Once I finally got the site up and set up some forums (just because I could), the whole web host disappeared within a month.
There are quite a few free web host search engines around ((
http://www.free-webhosts.com/power-search.php) this one for example), you could try hunting around on some of them?

I use MyOtherComputer(TM). It supports PHP, SSI, CGI, and SQL when I get around to installing it.
Uptime's pretty good, but the bandwidth pretty much sucks even if my housemates aren't downloading most of the Internet...

This thing is all over the banner ads at SA. Apparently using the coupon code "goons" gets you $25 off or something.
Edit: I know it's not free but $2 a week isn't bad =)

hmm, i use my site:
PLUG!!
(

/PLUG!!
hosted by fasthosts and through ukreg - i pay £3 a month and for that I have a database (£20 one-off payment), around a gig of free space to play with and plenty of bandwidth.
i'm happy with it, for all i use it for (Blog and ocassional forum foray and to mostly upload and host shizzle).
the database was what attracted me to it...plus of course being sole owner of the only the-fonz .co.uk domain name...BWAHAHAHAHA.
:weird:
