there is not, actually - you'll be running into the same issues when running W3 on a new computer ten years from now on using a 19200*10800 resolution (or whatever will be considered standard at that point).
Possibly, I mean how many people were playing Thief 2 at 1920 x 1080 in 2000. I think at that time I still considered 1024x768 to be high def stuff :cheeky:

It's supposed to cover both, but it has more Thief 2 textures than Thief 1 ones because that's what the contributors made more of.
Yeah, they are taking a sort of catch all approach, rather than having distinct versions for the different games. Since most of the "graphics" in Thief 1 and 2 are textures it just results in Thief 1 looking like Thief 2. For Thief Gold EP2 only updates ~50% of the textures, which is incredibly jarring vs low res textures.

Lurker figures out this one trick to play thief at 60 fps - texture pack creators hate him!
Lol, well fps doesn't really factor in when there are 4 frames of lag going on, might as well be running at 15fps. I've no idea why they are the default settings in the Newdark ini, it'd be better to just disable vsync entirely and let the video card settings handle it.

Thief Gold should theoretically have its own variants (with slightly different colours.)
I seem to vaguely recall someone doing colour adjustment on them all to match the original palettes, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details now.
