My computer is:
Pentium III 866
256 RAM
GeForce 2 MX400 64MB
Windows 98 SE
Do I have any posinility to play Deus Ex 2 in my computer?
Another question: when will the game release?
And another one: what engine does the game use?
Thanks, and sorry about my English  .

The specs are pretty okay, but according to Warren Spector, a GeForce3 will be the minimum requirement for Deus Ex 2. Apart from that, it should be okay, but don't expect awesome performance.
DX2 uses the new Unreal engine (first used in UT2003). So, if your comp can run UT2k3 decently, you can probably expect that DX2 will at least be playable... except the fact that you might need to upgrade your graphics card.
As for the release date, I don't quite know myself - I think it was supposed to be first half of 2003, but don't quote me on that.
I will probably upgrade my comp as soon as DX2 is there... Duron700/GF2MX200 32MB/256 Megs of RAM here... runs UT2k3 playably, but I don't really expect it to even start DX2.
Bye,

You should be able to stick a GeForce3 Ti500 in there for not that much cash, you might want to try auction sites especially to pick up a good deal. If you have the extra cash, a GeForce4 Ti4400 will see you through for a very long time.
Everything else on your system should be fine, you won't be able to play on absolute maximum settings, but close enough that it won't spoil anything for you. If you really want to make sure, download the UT2k3 demo. I don't think you should have any problems with DX if you can run that at medium settings at say, 800x600 resolution, or 1024x768.
One thing games are getting more picky about is sound cards, although that's only shown up in a few recent games (Mafia, GTA3, etc.). It's not worth worrying about yet.
BTW, you never need to apologise for your English. The fact that you can speak a second language puts you well above me, who could never be bothered to learn. If you want to mention in your post what your first language is, someone may be able to help you in your own language, if that's easier for you and if there is someone on the forums who speaks the same languages. Most games forums, including this forum, have a blend of people from many language and cultural backgrounds.

Hmm just thinking if it would work on my 2200MHZ, 512MB, Geforce 4 Ti4200? :cheeky:

Heh, your system is pretty much identical to mine.

Has it really gotten that pathetic that the game has to be so full of graphics just to get people playing it. Lets downgrade the graphics a bit and let more people play the game on slower machines.

Agreed. That's why OFP rocked, but then that needed high machine specs too...

My GeForce 2 MX played UT2K3 demo just fine, with some stuff turned down and at more modest 640-style settings.
