Divayth Fyr, two of them? and some keys. - by POED

On the West Gash/Ashlands border, slightly higher than Ald'Ruhn, on the West Gash side of that dividing hill range, there is a cave called 'Milk.' A path and a cave appear on the poster map, it's the southern of the two caves, just north of the Ald'Ruhn- Gnar Mok road.
Milk is a rather unimpressive cave, a few stiffs, then I came upon a Dunmer in full Ebony armor, so I jumped at him ready to attack, but I got stuck on some furniture. When I fixme'd myself, I saw he wasn't attacking. So I talked to him and he mumbled something about some woman who was trapped and my journal had a new, vague update. I noticed his name was Divayth Fyr (spelling?) and figured he might be a part of some quest, so I decided not to kill him.
Later when I needed the Corprus cure, I went to Tel Fyr and I found Divayth Fyr, this time in Deadric armor, and this Divayth Fyr had no idea who I was. This Divayth Fyr had four daughters, but apparently none of them were missing, but there was a woman trapped in his tower who wanted me to take her somewhere. Since I didn't know who she was or where to take her, I left her there.
So, what is the deal with the two Divayth Fyr's and the trapped woman in Tel Fyr? And what is with all the keys in the Corprusarium, I checked a few chests and found only keys. Is there anything worth while in the Corprusarium, or just some crappy Dwemer cups? Also, speaking of keys, are any keys necessary? With a powerful spell or good security, you can open any lock. So are ANY keys necessary? Are there some locks that cannot be picked? Every once in a while I find keys, like a rusted brass key on the Dreamer Prophet under Vivec. What are these keys for, and why do you even need them?

You must have read the name wrong of the guy in ebony... his name is Arethan Mandas, and he went insane (this is a redoran quest, so I won't bother with spoilers since this is the wrong forum). The other guy, Dyvith Fyr, is the master of Tel Fyr, a telvanni tower and hq of the corprusarium.

I believe the keys in the corposarium (sp?) open other chests, so you should be able to pick just one chest and use the key to open the next chest and so on. What you get out of opening the chests, however, I have no idea. Perhaps the keys can be used to open something else other than the chests?

In my Journal it says Divayth Fyr..... mumbles about his tower and some woman. What can I tell you. A Dunmer in ebony armor, who looks just like Divayth Fyr who's name is Divayth Fyr. When I talked to him, his name was Divayth Fyr and his name is Divayth Fyr in my Journal.

Can you tell me where in the tower you found the woman who wanted you to take her somewhere (wife of the guy in Milk cave). I have been looking all over for her. Is she in the corpus area or behind the golden door with lock 60 (to high for me now)?

Behind the gold door. I think the spell Ondusi's Unhinging opens 60, though the scrolls open 40-60. I just make a spell with open 100, and it opens every lock in the game. Very boring. Again, to enjoy this game, you have to tie your hand behind your back. It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility to make some locks unpickable or unspellable. After all, a lock pick is getting around in a small slot of the mechanism. Apparently every lock in Morrowind are the ubiquitous slender key variety. Locks of circular plates and strange shaped keys would make some locks unpickable and force you to do some puzzle solving, track down the keys, etc. The game is too passive, just waiting for you to beat it, requires very little thought.

One of the keys you get from the corpusarium opens a small chest in Dayvith Fyr's office that has a daedric necklace or something in it, when you put it on it teleports you to a battle with a daedra lord, when you beat him you get the very cool and powerful daedra crescent artifact.
