This mod looks very interesting and I'll be giving it a go after I finish the DLC.
Sorry this is a touch off topic but I thought I would get the most luck asking this here. As to the DLC, is there any way to unlock the Master Assassin difficulty without first playing through on another difficulty, I want to have the hardest vanilla difficulty straight off the bat instead having to play through twice before I install this mod and give it a go?

Portension,
if you've got both of the story DLCs then playing through just one of them on a lower difficulty will open them both to master assassin difficulty.
As to unlocking immediately, on this I am unsure.

Funny thing I've found is that modifying the cost of upgrades has one point in time that piero uses default prices. Even after modifying the prices the first time you talk to him it's the default prices. Figure I should mention that since it could be an issue with the mod later on.

Hey, I'm very glad with the work that has been done with this mod. I think you've done a terrific job bringing Dishonored a bit closer to what it should have been (Very Hard mode disappointed me when I played it originally). I think you guys overdid it with the lean though. I think leaning out a bit further would be nice, it's practically useless as is. Something like Thief's lean angles would be best I think. I get that the mod is supposed to be hard, but you gotta give the players a little leeway sometimes or you just end up constricting them.
I personally wrote up my own wishlist of what I think should have been in Dishonored, because I was really disappointed by the game. It deserved a lot better than it got. I don't honestly think most of the things in this wishlist are possible for you guys, given you're just modding the inis, but I thought I might toss it in here on the off-chance anyone figures out how to do a bit more.

Good luck in all you do, I hope you make good progress in restoring Dishonored.

Personally I really enjoy the tight lean angle, makes more sense than having your whole head sticking out from the corner, it's also more of a challenge using it, as it should be.
If it doesn't work for you the location and original value is in the readme, feel free to change it to whatever you desire.

Hey Evil,
I've received a good number of complaints on the lean, but I don't think it should be changed: another good number of people like the tense feeling it gives.
The thing with Thief's lean is you 'could' be seen while using it... you just gain the advantage of the shadow score associated with the original position pre-lean. This might lead to some unusual situations, but none as bizarre as being in broad daylight and staring some oblivious guard in the face.
Furthermore, the fact that you can shoot safely from the lean stance makes me think that the lean is very overpowered in general. It isn't easy to abuse this lean, but it is useful to get a quick peak of what is around the corner.
Thanks, everyone, for being patient for the next release. I promise it is on its way.

I like many of the plans for this mod, however i'm not a fan of the difference in sound created based on player stance.
I don't think being crouched should minimize sound all that much, movement speed should be the main factor.
For example I walked through a room with a guard in a room above me and even at one of the slowest walking speeds the guard detected me. Crouched movement through the same area on the other hand, regardless of movement speed, did not alert the guard.
The other aspects of the mod and future plans like no mana regen, combat difficulty, and ai being more aware of what's above them sounds fantastic :)

As-is, the lean is useless. I think there should exist at least some small means of getting awareness of your surroundings while in cover. I can understand your issue with being able to shoot from cover, but I think that a slight bit more lean would be appropriate, enough to get an actual peak.
Also I recently learned that apparently the different alert levels are like, 1: they turn their head, 2: they turn their full body, 3: they actually search for you, but they're hostile about it. I'd just like to say this is really dumb (even if it does make some sense) and I wish that there was a more normal investigation phase even programmed into the game. Sorry, just an aside.
Thanks for replying. I look forward to your next release.

This mod is really awesome :thumb:. And I have few ideas how to make it better, i hope you like it:
1) Mana regenerate only to 20% of maximum pool. 30% with "Spiritual Pool" bone charm.
2) Overseer music box should block your supernatural abilities even then overseer don't know about you.
3) Blink should make some sounds.
4) Increase time and speed then you posses some person. Let your carrier use his weapons and maybe your abilities.
5) Transfer all content from DLC to original game and from original to DLC.
6) Decrease crossbow damage to 4 bolts in body because in this version of mod gun worse than crossbow at all.
7) Restore "Golden Touch" bone charm.
My main idea is increase power of Corvo and his foes to make this game more challenging and rewarding.
Sorry for my mistakes, English is not my first language.
Good luck to this project and all creators.

1) Could be a good idea.
2) The music boxes only create "music" when being operated, if you look closely at them they are modelled on the old music boxes that use a drum with lumps (for lack of the proper term) that cause strips of metal to resonate,
for them to operate continuously would make the overseer himself redundant, they could just mount them on the walls. This would however be problematic because when they are used at full strength they shatter glass,
I'm sure the aristocracy don't want to live in a hell of exploding glass and incessant droning.
3) I think this may be beyond the scope of what jdv is doing, he's just doing some .ini editting (not to say that is easy, I applaud your hard work jdv), I think this excludes adding sounds and the required code to make them work.
4) No, this imo is stupid, Corvo is using all of his concentration to take control of another being, so i can understand not being able to do anything else, also, that makes the skill way too overpowered.
Just my thoughts
