My favorite bit about the Clockwork Mansion, among a boatload of awesome bits, is beating it without Jindosh knowing you're there.

Am I still in the political compass thread?

I lean towards murder-lib.

I've been doing non-lethal assault, which I really like. That's a big upgrade from DH1.

I'm toying with (re-)playing th entire series all the way through. Maybe with some added continuity throughout the releases, in particular considering how you can neglect the Outsider's gifts in part II. Like, role-playing a Corvo that opposes anything outsider related starting right at Coldridge, including killing everybody who sides with him... not quite sure yet though. Any ideas for a fresh playthrough?
Also, in the light of the more recent news about Dishonored "being put on hold" -- if Arkane are going to do altogether different games from now on, I'm gonna jump off Whitecliff. These kind of games are so rare that Arkane almost had made them entirelly their own.

I think Bethesda bought them because of their strengths and the background of their team with immersive sims, so hopefully they'll do something "new" but with the same design principles.
After playing their Deus Ex homage in a Thief-like setting, I still want a Thief homage in a Deus Ex-like setting. A near-future believable setting with some sort of light-based cloaking suit (that makes a lot of noise haha) and tools to manipulate the amount of light and sound. And some massive conflict between order, chaos, and passive observers trying to keep balance.

I'd ratkill for an Arkane game based on a Call Of Cthulhu-ish scenario, probably even taking inspiration from the tabletop mechanics, which look awesome for their kind of thing if translated proper (insanity meters, etc.). Then again, the previews of the upcoming CoC game sound pretty close enough -- I've already seen comparisons being made to Dishonored in fact.

Honestly, I'm not sure I wouldn't consider Dishonored pretty damn Lovecraftian in itself.

I have to say that I don't see Jason Moyer's Deus Ex comparison myself; in part, that's because I mostly chose to play stealthily/non-lethally, so the game felt much more like Thief, but it's also the traversal as well as the relative lack of role-playing decisions. You don't have all that much peaceful, social interaction with NPCs in Dishonored. All in all, I never felt that playing Dishonored felt closer to playing Deus Ex than to Thief - though, again, my impression might be a different one if I played more aggressively and violently, yet I also didn't play Deus Ex with an emphasis on combat.
