My second playthrough was Emily refusing the Outsider. But I also went full bore absolutely everyone must die. It wasn't that hard, other than missing a couple of runes that can only be gotten to with powers. The slide kill is kind of ridiculously overpowered.

I take it you can still upgrade skills, just no powers? Weaksauce.

What do you mean 'skills'? The slide kill is just like drop kill, you just don't have to be above the person to do it.
You can upgrade equipment, and you can use bone charms. Runes give you money. Since you don't get powers you don't get bone charm crafting, so it limits the buffs you can get from bone charms.

By 'skills' I was thinking of the passive powers, I guess. If those are unavailable that's a good thing.

As with no detection play-throughs, no powers is also fairly easy to crack if you take a moment to think of your route before hand. I think it would only be massively difficult if you tried it for your first run.
Obviously spoilers for those who haven't finished the game, but over the holidays I had this guy's speedrun streams on in the background while doing stuff. He quickly went from straight Any% to non-lethal ghost with no powers:

I don't think the last level was much different on high chaos, although I had multiple ways to complete the very last objective (dunno if this was because of playstyle, how I dealt with the villain, or who I was playing with) one of which was the most awesome, bitchiest thing imaginable. I actually hope the ending I'm alluding to is canon if there's DLC or a third game, and you play as a new character (or Daud again, maybe) dealing with the repercussions of things being fucked in the worst way possible.
I don't think I encountered this - what was it and how did you trigger it?
Jason Moyer on 26/1/2017 at 04:34
Apparently the trigger is finishing with high chaos; dunno if there are multiple "high chaos" thresholds like in the original game, but anyway, on my Emily playthrough I was given the choice to finish the game by rescuing Corvo, like in a low chaos playthrough or by taking the throne, leaving Corvo imprisoned.

Ah right, I did get that. For some reason i thought you meant it was a way to deal with delilah

Just finished the Stilton manor, clever idea and fantastic execution. I still find the narrative awfully bland, the characters around me talk more about stuff than I actually see on-screen and do in the game. SR's voice is great, but looks like he had very limited choice in terms of delivery. It's always a world-weary, jaw-clenched guy looking for revenge. Oh, and the voice acting in the Stilton study was almost fanfic-level :/

One thing I was wondering: those of you who went for non-lethal runs, did you still try to take care of most or all enemies, or did you mostly evade them?
I did a couple non-lethal playthrus and each time I decided to save my sleep darts and just ghost around the enemies that weren't really in my way. I did, however, use (as Emily) Far Reach and the non-lethal choke-from-behind a LOT, though. It was quite satisfying to be able to sneak up on enemies and choke them unconscious. At least, for me.

Gomna try a ghost run, but it seems insanely hard.
I did just one ghost run and it was difficult, but not insanely so. I just made sure to save A LOT, especially before I made a critical move. That way, if I was spotted I could go back, reload, and try it again. I also checked the Stats option (main menu) quite a bit to make sure I hadn't a.) accidentally killed anyone (sometimes if you use a sleep dart on an enemy and they fall off of something they'd been standing on the fall can kill them - especially if they land in something that's on fire, so beware), and, b.) hadn't been spotted. It wasn't hard as much as it was time consuming. But well worth the effort, imo. Reminded me so much of TDP & TMA. Good times. ;)
