One thing that freaked me out a bit was on the 2nd mission, one of the worker guys (bald guys who carry wrenches) actually climbed up two levels to get at me. Totally unexpected, usually if you climb to higher ground at any time you're safe, but there he was, climbing up over the balcony. I haven't seen any of the proper guards do it though.

I have. One of the coppers chased me up a ladder onto a roof, but was unable to follow when I jumped over an alley onto some pipes and hid. He was still up on the roof muttering to himself an hour later when I came back.

Timed it last night, using the 4th level, it was about 40 seconds on the initial load, and 20 seconds on reloads. That seems decent to me, not sure how it compares to PC.

20 seconds seems reasonable. For some reason I felt the PS3 load times to be a tad long on the first game and it drained my will to try new things.

NB I haven't finished this yet (after like 25 hours of powers-less lurking around), but it's amazing. The bar for good level design is basically now in space, the sense of kinematic power you get just running and jumping and sliding and hiding is immense, and the atmosphere is pretty much spot on. The plot and writing are utterly meaningless though, I actually laughed my drink everywhere at some of the budget anime drivel Emily and others spout at each other. Sokolov has had one good line so far, and that's been it. Sack the writers, give the level designers all the awards.

I read a couple things on the switch on the Outsider voice actor - it seems like they axed the old guy because he had an offensive username on Reddit (TrannyDestroyer). Nothing official, Arkane just said there were scheduling conflicts (which the original actor denies). It's all kind of odd because the old Outsider actually did the trailer for this game, and then they dumped him. Whoops.
I still really like the old guy (and don't like the new one), but it doesn't matter much since he doesn't really show up that often.

I thought that was Brad Dourif until I looked it up. Dourif did Piero Joplin, someone else did the Outsider. I guess I'm misremembering their voices being similar.
I got my game (or so I thought) in the mail the other day and it wasn't until I opened it up just now that something hit me. It requires 60GB HDD space. There's one DVD inside. What the hell is on the disc?
