Are the controls really worse? I kind of thought they're almost the same or even slightly better than in Dis 1, with more moves etc. I also like how walking on stairs makes different sounds and stuff.
I agree with the protagonist's comments mostly being unnecessary. And kinda cringy ;p
Also Hounds Pit Pub >>>>> Dreadful Wale.

Finished it with "clean hands", "shadow", and "flesh and steel" trophies. And I'm glad I did because I feel like I can appreciate the level design more. Speaking of which, two missions were just crazy good in that regard: clockwork mansion and Stilton's mansion. Those two must've taken forever to design!
Sometimes I felt like it would've been nice if the loading times were quicker on the PS4, but other than that, what an amazing game!

Well, I'm kind of pissed. The 1.2 patch was perfect. Performance was solid on my PC (admittedly at medium and low settings, but I'm running a Radeon 380X, so I can hardly expect high settings).
The 1.3 patch causes driver crashes. I can play for 15-20 minutes, and then my video card shuts down. It did this in beta, so I turned the beta off with the expectation that the problem would be fixed by the time they pushed it to mainline, but apparently not. What the fuck.

In my opinion yes. Actually right after I started the tutorial, I went ahead and redownloaded the first game just to see whether it was my memory failing me or a real issue. And yeah, the movement in the first game feels a lot smoother to me. Of course the additional takedowns are a great addition for non lethal players like me.

Yeah, I think the movement feels worse. The things that I wish they would change in a patch that would help, at least somewhat, would be having a 'walk' toggle (it's kind of ridiculous that you have to break out a gamepad to have control over your movement speed) and an option to disable the lean-toggle.

See, I don't understand why this is still such an issue post-Splinter Cell, but even the latest in THAT series has forgotten about using the mousewheel to control movement speed.
I thought it was one of the biggest advances in PC game movement control when I played those first Splinter Cell games, but no other developer followed suit. Utterly moronic.

Yeah, the movement speed control in the first 3 SC games when using keyboard/mouse was great. But failing that, how in the hell can you not have a walk toggle.

I've been so busy I haven't finished this yet, but the experience is starting to remind me a bit of Mankind Divided. At first I was like ‘WOW' and now it's more like ‘eh, it's decent'. The world is rich, the level design is interesting, and there's lots to do. There's lots of ways to play, and they feel well balanced. But now I'm starting to feel a certain emptiness in the experience. It's more sandboxy than the original. It seems to lack plot development to push it along, and the dialogue doesn't do much for me either. And it feels like the PC port is a little bit half-hearted. Anybody else feel the same, or am I just losing my interest in this hobby?

I haven't played this game, but I don't think your feelings on Manky constitute losing interest. Ever since playing Oblivion for too long, I have felt that excessively sandboxey games start feeling very soulless and aimless. And in the case of Manky, it was literally half of a story, so it felt quite insubtantial relative to its duration.

I also haven't played it yet, but I had that feeling in both HR and Manky. In both cases, I stopped playing it for a while fairly near the end because I somehow lost motivation to continue by that point.
