Am I the only one who is completly annoyed by the inconsistant save/load system? What I mean by that is one of many similar scenarios that happened to me in the past few hours of playing Stalker. For example, I entered the labs compound and started going up the stairs, all clear. I quicksave. I get killed and I reload and then, magically, an enemy is right behind although he was never there before the quicksave!
Secondly, is it just me or the damage/accuracy/whatever system completly weird? What I mean is, practically any weapon I choose (lets say, the AK47 look a like) I need to use pretty much at least the entire clip to take someone down. Now, the enemies on the other hand (using the same weapon) take me down with just a few shots. I hope this is not what they defined as the highest difficulty setting...

I haven't experienced that saving/loading annoyance.
But it isn't just you regarding the damages, I have been hinting the very same; that it is like the bandits have magic weapons or something.

Your enemies obviously go for headshots. You should try that too, it makes the game much easier - if you can handle the horrible weapon accuracy that is.

Wouldn't our guy die in one shot if he got hit in the head, like with the bad guys?

Yup, or so was my experience. Thus, it definately isn't head shots that do me.

I have noticed the save issue on numerous occasions. I found myself sandwiched in a room once when a soldier magically appeared from the corridor I had just cleared prior to saving.
This was right at the end of the game and the enemies were packing some serious hardware.
It took me a long time and a large number of 'marked ones' to get out of that situation.

Save issues I've noticed. From people reactive to things I did after I quicksaved, but before I quick loaded, to becoming permanently radioactive. It's flaky, yes.
The enemies though, well, I believe that's just a case of them having very very good body armor. Just look at how many exosuited stalkers you see running around in the game vs. how hard it is to actually get one. After the patch, you also figure in that your armor is almost never gonna be at 100%, while their typically will be, and you get a very uneven comparison.

Yeah, I've had issues with saving as awell. The saving doesn't seem save the enemie's states.
In the agroprom facility, I was sneaking in to steal the papers. No one had noticed me. After quicksaving, and then loading, someone noticed me instantly through a wall and set off the alarm. That happenned every time I tried to reload.
I've also had problems in the last left with quicksaves saving my characters weapons/equipment/health/etc, but not updating my location. So I my character was the in the same state, but I was in the previous location as the last quicksave. Not only that, but all the enemies I had killed BEFORE the last save had respawned right next to me. I had to get in some quick headshots to get out of that one.

Haha, I had the same exact thing happen to me at the same place :laff:

Ah, the alarm. That's easily fixed: just shoot it. :D
