Disappearing textures

I recently purchased a computer with a Radeon x300 SE Hypermemory card, and I've tried to play Deus Ex 1 on it, but after a minute it slows to a crawl and almost all the textures disappear. My computer has a dual core Pentium D in it as well. What could be the problem?

How much RAM do you have? HyperMemory cards borrow system RAM to make up the VRAM amount shown on the box.

try the enhanced renderers from (http://cwdohnal.home.mindspring.com/utglr/) here.try switching between opengl/d3d,some systems run better under d3d,other like opengl better..
