Of course they wouldn't, they'd hunt me down and beg for the undoubtably incredibly phat lewt I, of course, have in my banks... All level 60s carry fungi tunics and FBSSs in large quantities to give away, or at least they presume.

(oh, and that tidbit about the fungi tunics and fbss's is a joke, sarcasm... in fact I have very few FBSS's or Fungi tunics (namely zero).
For those who play everquest in a less than addictive manner, these dragons/wyrms are from the Northern Wing of the Temple of Veeshan, a new zone my guild has started to farm(well, we haven't killed a few mobs due to only being able to kill 5ish a night, and it being heavily contested, the biggest of the non-killed mobs being Lord Vyemm, but as we took harry out on our first try, we 'should' be able to do Vyemm.)

*sigh*... one of my goals that went unfullfilled was to help kill phara dar(I really wanted a crown of rile), but, my character's life ended at lvl 44 because my parents cancelled my account... oh well.
btw: I had a lvl 57 mage friend who had to deal with begging for items, he told me about a time when he was killing spiders in the karanas for silks, and he was constantly bothered by newbies asking for summoned stuff, or loot. I just laughed a little and thought to myself, now you know what it feels like to be begged for stuff all the time... Anon is a must for me when I travel, because everyone seems to think I can cast clarity and haste on everyone that asks for it.

yeah, sometimes when I go into newbie zones (Had to go kill Tangrin in FoB the other day) I get tells for 'free stuff'. Sometimes I ignore, sometimes I have fun, but usually I just give 'free advice'... like where to level, why you SHOULDN'T be an elven warrior, and other things of the like.
