I'll just leave this here...
(

It's a half-life 2: episode 2 mod.
I found it randomly and thought it may be relevant to your interests. :)
It's still in development though, so nothing to play yet.

Are you sure you don't work on it? Seems odd that you registered last month and only "found" this a short while after. ;-)
Regarding the mod, it seems less like it was "inspired" and more like they ripped textures straight out of SS2. It's even using the Von Braun status displays and keyboards, plus the signage on the walls. I also got a kick out of this:

Because all sshock2 content under copyright.
So what's up with the plagiarized textures?

"We are currently using some sshock2 content as a placeholder, also like the Eternal Silence / Dystopia content. But we hope to get our own content soon."
Interesting, I'll keep an eye on them.

Project Digital Hell is a Sci-Fi horror survival modification. Its based on System Shock 2 - but would be unique with an own story. It wouldnt be an Remake ! Because all sshock2 content under copyright.
* Use buzzwords like scifi or horror survival? Check
* Say it's just like another big-name game BUT DIFFERENT? Check
* Spelling and grammatical errors, missing verbs, random capitalization? Check
* Last sentence barely comprehensible? Check
* Overall making the FIRST paragraph on your official moddb page look like you got a few more years to even get to high school? Check
Oh yea this will get far.
EDIT: also should have mentioned the obligatory anime-inspired concept art.

I don't work on this project; I just registered recently because of my renewed interest in SS2 and with rpg/fps type games in general. :)
I've sworn by SS2 and DX:1 for years, but never replayed them until beating DX:HR recently.
After replaying SS2 the realization that the genre was better in the beginning compared to it's more recent additions, has since led me on quite a wild goose chase in research.
I was consistently brought to this website and systemshock.org while searching and am now registered to both.
If I find something elsewhere about SS2, I post it on one of these 2 websites.
One unfortunate theme I find on the subject of updating the graphics of SS2 or SS1 is the projects have never see the light of day.
My hope is that at least one will make it to a stage where a single level is playable, with all graphics and game mechanics in place, so that if it does stop production, others will have something solid to work with.
On a side note I also found this. "Half-Shock"

This is a SS1 remake which is currently on the source engine.
They responded 2 days ago saying that it is still in development and may but put on a different engine.

Nice. Impressive work, however in its current state its only slightly further along than past medical level remakes. I've yet to see a single remake with any proper enemies in there.

Not surprising. Source is a nice engine, but it's damned obnoxious to work with. I had been making something System Shock 2 inspired with Alien Swarm for a while, but Source stopped me in my tracks.
Whatever incarnation of the Unreal Engine is out now would surely be perfect for such a project. But Icemann is right, they never get very far, regardless of engine.
