It's interesting how people never realise that PR only goes so far, and if your official policy was made by people with their heads so far up their asses they could pay their own colonoscopy bills, no amount of spin can change the fact that the policy was borne out of staring too closely at their own shit.
This quote is so good I'm going to print it out and frame it for posterity.

Nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-Necrothread!
Basically, this is probably just for faetal and me (unless anyone else is still playing D3).
But if anyone wants boosting for the Season, I tried it for the first time this weekend and boosted someone from level 1 to 70 in about 40 minutes. If you've done the story and just want fast-tracking, I'm more than happy to help. My D3 tag is Mungrul. I can probably even get you most of the Seasonal achievements necessary to unlock the pet and portrait.
While I've dropped out of regular TTLG criminal shenanigans in GTAV for the time being, I'm more than happy to play D3 with peeps, as it's a very focussed, polished and repetitive reward loop honed to a monofilament edge that lets me zone out quite agreeably. I don't really have to think beyond the moment-to-moment gameplay, just make things explode.

I still don't really understand what the seasons are. That said, I'm still chugging through the story, so am a while away from needing to explore much else atm.

My uneducated guess would be some silly ranking thing (x person killed y enemies, or whatever other metric they want to highlight) that has no real impact on anything.

They're mostly about time-limited scoreboards where people compete to reach the highest level before they close or complete extra hard achievements, but there's also season exlusive rewards to unlock (mostly asthetic things like portrait frames, mini pets etc) and they also add in powerful new loot which I believe is exclusive to seasonal characters until the season ends, then it's added to the default loot-pool for everyone.

They're actually gonna make the new items available to everyone, not just seasons, starting with the next big patch. The cosmetics will remain tied to seasonal achievements, but you won't need to make a new character and start with nothing to try out the new sets.
The main idea was to provide a competitive environment where people who had played constantly from launch weren't vastly far ahead of more recent players. And to give long term players another chance at the 'new game' feeling. Since stash is shared between characters, it's real hard to get that feeling from a non-seasonal new character.

Anyone still playing this?
I'm levelling a seasonal character at the mo, and some TTLG company would be a pleasant way to spend a lazy Sunday :)

I have the Ultimate Evil ed. for the PS4, if anyone ever fancies a game. :3
