Nothing - I was just agreeing that it was pathetic, since the games are mindless crap

Today must be 'express your opinion in the most ridiculous and overly generalised way possible' day.

Here, I've generalised that even more for you.

If it was good enough for Syndicate then BY ODIN IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME

Can someone explain in what way stating that two specific games have mindless gameplay is a generalization? That makes no sense. It is true that I generally consider gaming an unproductive waste of time and there are very few that I actually enjoy (LGS games being among those), so I am a harsh critic, but my statement was limited to two games.

Because saying something has "mindless gameplay" is a callously dismissive description usually used by boring, ineffectual people (i.e. more TTLGers than there should be) to describe everything from Asteroids to Zelda.
If you think games are a waste of time and you only really like LGS games, why are you still here? You have nothing left to say.

Oh, yes, because saying a person is 'boring and ineffectual' based on a single statement (or even multiple internet posts) is much less dismissive and less of an overgeneralization than saying that the gameplay of a game you've played extensively is mindless. That makes a lot of sense. I'd call you an idiot, but that would an ineffectual, dismissive generalization based on far too little information, and I think judging the quality of video games is far kinder than judging people. Unless, of course, you're trying to be ironic, which - for your sake - I hope you are.
As for why I'm still here - the LGS legacy lives on. DX3 is coming out soon, and I am here in anticipation of it. Thief 4 is in development. There are still games worth playing coming out - just not many. Even games by Blizzard - I really enjoyed SC2, despite its many deficiencies.
