Amazingly enough, Second Life is all about penises, not boobs.
Just like Spore.

(
http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3168515) The second is with Rob Pardo, Blizzard's Executive VP of Game Design, who talks about what we've been bickering over since page 3 (among other things).
I find it kind of hard to believe his claim that they "were very careful to not go to WOW" when that's exactly the direction they obviously went.
Oh well, I'll probably buy it anyway. It's just rather annoying that they had to go for
Warablo instead of the classic look. :erg:

They showed us two regions of the game, presumably chosen specifically to show off the graphics engine. I know it doesn't look like classic Diablo but I hardly think the whole game is going to look like that.

Nuh uh. Red and black. Like you're looking down through a camera covered in blood. That would be so FUCKING HARDCORE. Like Danzig deep drilling a fallen angel on a pentagram covered in goats. That, to me, is Diablo.
Also skulls.
:erm:
Nice that you get those associations from Diablo. Good for you. I wish I did. But I don't.

Blizzard reminds me of companies from the past that also kept a similar-looking art style in all of their products (I'm thinking of Bitmap Brothers/Renegade and early Westwood).
I think what people are upset about is the previously perceived difference between Blizz and Blizz North products.

Magpie, have you ever heard of or seen sarcasm
The Magpie on 4/7/2008 at 03:38
Oh. Damn. I guess I took that (pretty witty) post at face value because, uh, seriously, I'd like some day to try a game associated with the tableau in question here. There. I admitted it. Thanks for exposing me, dethtoll. :p
Diablo ain't it, anyhow.

You call that witty? That was a sophomoric attempt at humor at best.

And then they turn on each other. Cripple fight!
