Yep, his welfare is dependent on where you leave the hotel. Window triggers him dead. If you are interested, what happened mechanically, well then, he just disappeared as son as he was out of your field of view. Because according to the story, as he said, he is going to make his own gateway with the help of Smuggler, ....so probably he switched to sneak mode and became a houdini or something... ;) If you want him alive later on the game, just don't use the window to escape.
[However, i prefere him dead! :ebil:]
EDIT: Oh, and he can't explode, he is a nanoaug agent, not a mech! Just like you. His killswitch causes him a painful and slow death, just as yours to you. No detonation. You don't blow up neither, when somebody kills you, do you?

I think i'll play i'll leave him dead to, serve's him right with his houdini tricks and leaving me off to defend myself :laff:
Was a hard fight as well..
And wasn't anna also a nanoaug agent? I heard something about 'you being special' in the beginning of the game, but i hear that all the time in video games so i kinda ignored/forgot that part

No, JC and Paul are the first nanoaug agents. Anna and Gunther are both mechaug.

I usually just stand by the door when the MiB's break in and get plugged. It's quick and simple and gets you to the next part.

But you get more skill points if you make it to battery park, plus it's more satisfying to go out fighting and what else are you going to do with all your spare grenades (since only 1 of each carries over to the armoury, at least in my version). I think you can also hack the ATM if you get through to the subway, so there's some $$$ in it for you as well.

Plus if you have lifty arms you can actually heft some of the large crates out the way and then run around in a suspiciously empty battery park. And get chased around there by Gunther, which is always funny.

Yes, I seem to remember being able to find jock as well, but you still can't escape. The annoying thing is that, even though you can destroy the concrete barricades with explosives, the invisible wall behind them remains. Quite un-deus ex, really.

Drop any grenades you've picked up before picking up the ones it places in the armory from your inventory. (There are also some singleton grenades in the armory that aren't from your inventory, so drop those if you pick them up.) Then you'll get your full set back.

Rifles are better than pistols, but you wont be able to carry a GEP gun if you want to carry all the rifles and the usual essentials.

You don't have a sawn-off shotgun!
And I'm pretty sure you're using cheats.
