There's pretty much nothing going on here, and the Deus Ex: Revision team recently posted an update saying that they're finalizing their promotional materials, so I decided to start this thread.
Update: (

Anyone else interested in it? I'm mostly curious to know whether the levels will have good gameplay, and how exactly are they going to change the levels and still make them interesting for Deus Ex fans.

If you look at their screenshots and some of the blog videos, I think you'll see they've made extensive additions to the levels. They look a lot more polished with many extra details.
I've been keeping my eye on this mod the past year or so. I'm super excited for its eminent release!

I'm just concerned that the additions they've made would make the game drag, be boring to play, or not add much to the overall level. Judith pointed out correctly that they don't seem to have a good focus, and they make their own changes and call them "improvements" without consulting people at Ion Storm, which shows overconfidence.
AntiMatter_16 on 29/5/2015 at 22:01
Considering that Ion Storm no longer exists, it would be difficult to contact them. Furthermore, developers are paid to produce content. Even if it still existed, Ion Storm would have little incentive to collaborate on free mods of their games.
Overconfidence is usually marked by a lack of knowledge and preparation. Considering that this mod has a dedicated development team and testers that have been working on it for several *years* to produce the best quality experience for its players, I don't see how you can label them as overconfident.
Lastly, it would be presumptuous of you to judge the content of a mod before you've actually played it. I would recommend you reserve judgement until then.

*reads all the things* well they certainly aim high - pulling everything off properly will not be an easy task. I have been crying for a fully overhauled DE mod/patch for years (Shifter and Biomod do fix some stuff up, but come nowhere near a complete overhaul), so will definitely give it a go sooner or later (will probably wait for a first patch/second release to minimize the chance of bumping into wonky stuff), but (

I can't wait to see how the game plays with all those additions and if DX feels like "the same but bigger and better". I'm not fan of the new music though, it seemed to me like a change just for a sake of change, but I've only listened to samples, dunno if they improved it for the release, plus it's going to be optional anyway.

I've replayed DX last year, together with Revision ( I think ) and some mod that expanded some maps, added more spaces, which was great. For example there was a secret crypt in one really nice place that I was lucky to find. It was huge and very interesting! Will this be something similar to that?

Deus Ex: Revision will apparently be released tomorrow (Tuesday), in 18 hours and 4 minutes from this moment.

This is actually the first time I've even heard of this mod, but now could be a good time to play Deus Ex again - it's been about ten years since my last play through.

52 minutes to go! You know, I might actually play this thing.
