I havent played either of these but from what I've read people seem to think the original Deus Ex is better than IW.
I would like to try this game out and I seen a copy if Invisible War for the PC for like $19.99. I'm sure I could get a good deal on the original Deus Ex on Ebay if I want that one but I wanted to check here first?
Should I get the newest one with new grx engine etc.
or the original?

Get both. Then you can decide for yourself. A lot of people say DXIW is awful but this is of course relative to DX1 and I think it's better than some of the braindead games on the market. The ISIS engine is notoriously unreliable though so you might want to download the IW demo to make sure you can actually run it before going ahead and buying it.

ISIS? DX:IW runs on a heavily modified Unreal engine.

Definately get DX1 first. I don't actually know as though there is anyone out there who played DX1 then later went on to play IW and like IW more. DX1 will probably be cheaper and there is simply more to it than IW.

See I would suggest IW first, so then DX1 would be an improvement, but if the OP likes IW he might find DX1 too overwhelming/complicated

Get Deus Ex first, and then don't get IW at all. You will be disappointed if you do.

My opinion is that Deus Ex 1 is definitely better. Invisible War as a game by itself is a good game, though short in length. Compared to the first one, it's not nearly as good.

They call it Unreal because it's unreal for it to work on your computer. :rolleyes:
Oh and get Deus Ex first, then get Invisible war. You have to play them in Order. Duh! By the time you're done with Deus Ex, Invisible war could be cheaper. :-p (The original is a long game, and you can make it longer if you mess around a lot)
