Jc without a trench coat is like Goggles without.. goggles.
one_gundam_war on 16/7/2002 at 15:42
well, i must admit. JC would look like a moron without his trenchcoat. he looks cool with it, but without it he would be wearing pants and body armour.
maybe give him multiple outfits? i mean, who would walk around Hell's Kitchen in body armour and a trenchcoat when MJ12 has infested the area?

The coat is like Indiana Jones' hat -- when he's in the field, he's gotta have it on, or he's not Indy. Same for JC and the coat. Maybe he could hang it up in his office when he's in the HQ.

lol. i can't wait till the first time MJ12 attacks. his coat is gonna be so holey that the pope will pray to it (lame. i know. but the point gets across)

If the Deus Ex movie even has MJ12 in it. Just remember that past video game movies have drifted so far from the game you could have a different name for the movie and you would never know it's based off a game.
one_gundam_war on 16/7/2002 at 22:07
fine. then replace MJ12 with "bad guys with guns"

I think it would be immoral to have JC without his trenchcoat. Of course we'd need some seens without it but come on. Without the trenchcoat, JC just looks like your average hot dog action hero fuck. I say the coat stays.

All these games had at least a RELATION to each other. From Final Fantasy One all the way to 10, (The worse one EVER). There were elements of final fantasy, Magic, Random Battles, A Party of characters etc. In the movie ALL OF THAT was destroyed. It was HORRIBLE!!! THey could have done so much, but they ended up not doing ANYTHING! In fact annihilating any hope that future Final Fantsy Movies would EVER be created. So even though final fantasy games didn't follow an EXACT story, they WERE at least Related to each other. The movie totally forgets ALL key Final Fantasy elements. For example, GFs would have fit PERFECTLY into the FF movie, but they were not even mentioned! Absurd! Neither was Magic in the traditional form. And there was no fighting (with swords etc.) like in almost ALL the other FFs. It was a total let down, and the box office figures reflect that nicely. As long as DX the movie isn't AT ALL like that, I'll be pretty happy...

Square's never been known to give candy to their fans, i thought that was pretty well known already. the only instance i can think of it would be maybe FF9, with the few elements of nostalgia involved.
Square tells the gamer what they should like, and the gamers follow ranks.

well, there was one thing that was in almost every FF game. the name "sid". my guess is they were planning to slowly introduce magic and weapons. like those ghey spirits would be guardian forces. of course, no one ever said they were intelligent.
