As some of you may know, Deus Ex is gonna become a movie. It's being made by the creators of Spider Man.
Yeah, yeah, most video game movies suck. The American McGee's Alice movie is being made by Wes Craven. I don't know about you guys but Scream sucked ass!
Anyways, I'd like to here some of your thoughts about the movie.

Okay, so that was the only thing...I think there are a lot of games out there that
could be made into good movies. Deus Ex is one of them and I'd personally love to see StarCraft made into a movie. The System Shock series would also be good, but I don't know how they'd get around the lack of character interaction. I think Deus Ex could be enjoyable, but if they can screw up Tomb Raider they can screw up anything. Of all the games out there I think that would have been the easiest to convert. :tsktsk:

Every game to movie thing, has Sucked. The reason the target audience (gamers) isn't expecting much. BUT movie companies KNOW gamers will go see the movie that is even Remotely bsed on the game, even if its JUST the title, (Final Fantasy). Therefore there is NO incentive to base it on the game. I wouldn't be surprised if half the people making the movie never even Played the game... But on can only hope. If the Wachowsky Brothers (Directors of the Matrix) were Doing DX i'd feel a LOT better. Oh well, We will see.

I thought Final Fantasy was a pretty good movie. Resident Evil was okay, but I really hated the sound track (same with Tomb Raider). It sounds like they have a good producer lined up for Deus Ex, but I'm worried about who they'll get to direct. The screenwriter doesn't sound very good.

I doubt if video games were made into movie would be a good idea, cuz I have never seen the Tomb Raider movie.
At first, I wanted to see the TR movie, only before I saw the commercial. It's just a little girl bunching up and down on a rope chair and thinks she's cool. Only "very" horny guys would want to see the big breasts.
