When did the once loving Thief forum members become the bitter SS2 forum members?
I beg your pardon? If I wasn't too busy with cool new SS2 mods, mind blowing graphical advances and multiplayer games (lol taffers) I'd take the time to throw a monkey wrench your way!

...but I feel morally obligated to provide the source of this info, from the Army Times:

Yes, it's official. And these troops are coming back from Iraq, where they have been fighting a very vaguely-defined enemy.

And how twitchy will they be after having served four tours of duty in a row?
Snap!

“I don't know what America's overall plan is — I just know that 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines that are standing by to come and help if they're called,” Cloutier said. “It makes me feel good as an American to know that my country has dedicated a force to come in and help the people at home.”
I'm a veteran who thinks very highly of our military, but this sort of attitude still scares the shit out of me. Anyone who is not troubled by this probably has no understanding of the implications. Given what had allready occured in NO after Katrina it's not exactly far fetched to consider that we are potentially one natural disaster away from an authoritarian police state, from one degree to another.
It's a lot easier to give power than take it away.
