Don't forget that a team is attemtping to do a DUNE mod for Deus Ex. I don't know if it still is progressing, but the idea fits nicely as a mod (the worms might be difficult to pull off): there would be stealth, developed characters, multiple approaches to various situations, conspiracies within conspiracies, the choice to kill or not to kill, special abilities, and consequences based around your decisions. It could even give you the choice to snuff out Dr. Yueh before he betrays you, which would bring the story into a completely different direction, or you could choose not to become a theocratic dictator of the universe in favor of a future which Paul Atreides cannot predict or follow.

There used to be a link on Planet Deus Ex for it, but it can only be searched for via yahoo now.

It would be worth checking out if it is still in development.
