Hello, everyone. My name is Wildcat. I'm a regular poster over at the PDX Forums and would like to announce a new mod for Deus Ex. It's called "Man in Black" and follows the story of MJ12's first nano-augmented MIB.
Our homepage was destroyed last week by hackers, but we're working on moving over to a new site on edgenetwork.
You can check out our profile page on the Mods Database at:

I've been hard at work drawing these 2D diagrams of our maps and will gladly send them to any mappers who are interested (if you don't mind a few spoilers, of course). If you're interested, drop me a line at Justin_Permenter@baylor.edu.

Sounds like a good set-up for a mod. I always got a kick out of those guys. Good luck.

Aww... I was hoping you'd get to play a cybernetically augmented Johnny Cash in it.

LOL, just what I was thinking.

I don't know how concerned you are with following Canon, but:
If I remember correctly, the MiBs and WiBs are called in various emails series P agents (P meaning Pharmaphysiological, IIRC.) They are meant to be an upgrade from series N (nano technology, hence JC and Paul.) I think there was a series K in the middle, or something like that, but I don't think there is any detail of these.
Anyway, the point is that series MiBs and WiBs get quite a few advantages (more loyalty, greater combat effectiveness, etc.) But they do not have biomodifications, as far as I am aware, as they aren't nanotechnologically enhanced, so I am not sure how you can give agent Q biomods.
Ultimately, however, it is your mod, and if you want to bend the story to have more cool stuff to play with, it is your call.
Best of luck with the mod, of course.

Cobra, I don't want to get into too many spoilers, but the Series Q is a new prototype MIB that is nano-augmented. That's the point- it's an experimental program.
The mod is set one month after the events of the Deus Ex, so I don't see why this is such a continuity error.

Also, they're not called biomods in DX, cobra...

I read over that part, too:
Quote:
... follows the story of MJ12's first nano-augmented MIB.
... and just assumed you were talking about previous MIB. So I can see the misunderstanding, since I thought the same thing. Well, keep up the good work anyway.

Okay, here's a link to the 2D schematics I've been working on to assist our mappers:
