In IW, you must KILL ALL PLANTS.
And dammit, how come nobody was selling coffee on Liberty Island?

In DX, you chatter about human nature with a prototype global data-mining AI. In IW, you chatter about pop music with a virtualized air-headed rock star.
IMHO, some of the most interesting and introspective conversations in the game were with the NG AI. Sad but true.
And given the role of AIs in the main plot line of DX, I figured that the NG AI had to be connected in some way to the story in IW. Nope. So another disappointment for me was finding out that all those NG conversations which seemed like they were leading to something bigger weren't.
Now that would have made for an interesting fourth ending-- Alex Dee merges with the NG Resonance AI to usher in a bold new era where everyone is excellent to one another.
AxTng1 on 14/5/2006 at 20:42
As long as it was the actual AI and not NG herself.
I think that was my favorite bit of IW - meeting NG and seeing how different she was to the construct.
Edit: Fourth ending?
/me counts
Illuminati, Templar, ApostleCorp, Omar, Dance Party
Sixth :P
ZylonBane on 14/5/2006 at 22:03
Oops, yeah forgot one of the endings. I don't consider the dance party an ending so much as an easter egg of no return.
And I hated the real NG. Explosions, gunfire, and the screams of death all around her, and the only thing she can think about is her luggage.
Rogue Keeper on 15/5/2006 at 09:49
Oh yeah, I also hoped the NG construct would be better implemented into conspiracy plot. Holo kiosks of a virtual pop-star used as a global surveillance device. That's a good idea! But it ended half way there.
I think it was intended for the player to dislike the real NG, in contrast with her AI construct. You could always kill the real NG and then tell her construct about it. :cheeky:
Alex D.: "You are just a spoiled brat and now you're DEAD!"
NG kiosk: "No one informed me about such occurence?"
:laff:
And all that Coffee references in the game are kinda weird. I don't mind funny sidequests not related to the main plot, but it was obvious the devs just wanted to implement their coffee fetish into the game somehow.
I'm gonna have some tasty Queeqegcchino. :p
Hey and who has discovered the unique Firebolt Pistol hidden atop of the Nassif Warehouse? It was pretty difficult to get there.
Sgt_BFG on 15/5/2006 at 13:32
Firebolt Pistol? I've just found the toxic blade and the red greasel pistol.
ZylonBane on 15/5/2006 at 13:46
Hellfire boltcaster.
Rogue Keeper on 15/5/2006 at 14:12
That's it.
And toxic blade? Wow, I haven't found that one yet. Are there more unique weapons except these three?
ZylonBane on 15/5/2006 at 14:52
Are you serious? There's six of them. Hellfire Boltcaster, Toxin Blade, Red Greasel Hunter, Dragon's Tooth sword, Assassin Pistol, and Widowmaker SMG.
