I decided to give DE:IW one more try. Installed it, the version says its 1.2. But I get BSOD, usually when loading a game (going through a load zone or quickloading). And since there are lots of loading zones, it means I can only play for about 20 minutes.
The error message says something about ati3duag.dll file. Tried googling it, seems it caused a lot of problems to many people, but nothing mentioned (usually reinstaling drivers or disabeling second display) worked.
Did anyone have similar problems with DE:IW or Thief: DS?
My specs are:
AMD Athlon X2 240
2 GB RAM
XFX HD4670 1GB
Win XP SP3

try updating the ati driver.

I guess it wasn't clear from my first post, but I tried that and it didn't work.

hmmm..can be a ton of things.if this happens with other games as well,it might indicate a hardware issue.or,your card can be overheating.you might have a virus on your pc..
right now,I would try the exact opposite-downgrading the ati driver.

Well, it didn't happen with other games (played Bioshock 1 & 2, RE5 plus some other games). So I don't think it's hardware or virus problem. I tought that someone might have had similar problems, that's why I asked.
I remember that once I had problems with the same game and my antivirus software (there were no sounds in game), so I even tried disabeing it, but still no luck. Also tried chaniging graphic options, but didn't help.
I tought it might have something to do with resolution (I playing it at max resolution posible 1280x1024, but my monitor is 1920x1080). I've searched the forum because I tought there might be some kind of widescreen fix, but didn't find anything.
Thanks for your help, I will try couple other things (including driver downgrade).
