HL2's got my vote, more bang for you buck

I'm definitely for HL2. Invisible War was quite good, but HL2 ranks up there with my favourite games of all time :p

Stealthlord, 50 euros is a stupid amount of money for a 2-year-old game. If you look around you ought to be able to get it for less than 10 (I dunno if you have an eBay account, but that's where I'd look for a copy if I didn't have it).
Also, don't even think about getting HL2 to run unless you have a high-end machine. DX:IW will run on far lesser systems.

'friggin no way.HL2 runs like charm on my machine, but IW performance suxx some serious @ss (k7 xp 3000/r9800p),not mentioning IW doesnt look half that good.in fact, its HL 2 that will run on far lesser systems, considering the fact I can run it on my voodoo4 all day (just for your information, its a 5 year old 32 meg card with no HW&TL or PS).NO WAY I could run IW on a hardware that old..

HL2 can be dummed down a lot for performance increases. My friends running it on a 3 year old gateway just fine. I find that DX:IW needs a bit more from your comp, but my advice. Get an e-bay account and look up DX:IW (you can't get HL2 this way 'cause of steam). Then once you find IW for cheap buy it and then a bit later you should have enough for HL2 'cause there both great games.

How odd. IW runs like a charm on my P4 1.7GHz/256 SDR/R9800Pro with everything maxed out, yet HL2 performance is jerky as hell (and loading times are interminable).

Well, for the most part, no 2 computers are configured the same hardware and software-wise.

just finished deus ex iw.one friendly advice (mainly for those who really liked the first game): do yourself a favor, and STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHIT!!!
its not worth one buck.if you can borrow it from a friend (like I did),you can check it out just to see how sequels shouldnt be made.too bad the dvd is not mine,'cause I would like to smash it to tiny pieces and burn it and flush that toxic waste down the drain.I'll probably reformat the whole pc just to make sure everything iw related is purged.and dont ask me what I didnt like,'cause I hated friggin everything.I just wish ion storm would went down before releasing this..thing.it is just an insult to the original game..

I say IW over HL2.
