A lot of eyecandy, but I'm not sure the art style agrees with me. It's a shame they didn't try to build on DX's brand of cyberpunk, though, looks like they took some of the sources of inspiration of the original and decided to outright plagiarise them, as Briareos said, we'll see how that turns out.
I'm less worried about the graphics as I am about everything else though. And the Icarus scene could very well indicate they're not going for the more subtle matter-of-fact approach that suits cyberpunk so well.
I've nearly lost all interest in this game though, it just sounds and looks too much like a generic action game: godawful dialogue, cutscenes, Assasin's Creed wristblade action and all.

I like what I'm seeing so far, to be honest.

Visually this is doing it for me bigtime. The music was great too. It all hinges on the gameplay though. Of course.
Oh, and the plot.

Is there more than one conspiracy plot, really? Isn't it all "You're working for organisation A against organisation B, but then you realise that A is actually corrupt and B might be the good guys"?
I'm mainly hoping for good stealth gameplay (perhaps the one thing I disliked most about Bioshock - no viable, fun stealth gameplay) and well written characters. And possibly a character who speels his dreenk.

after seeing this I hope they will drop the DX1-prequel thing and ignore everything that supposedly happens in the DX universe because they just don't get it. everything is amazing but as my teacher in school would say: Themenverfehlung !!!! and give you the worst note possible. But it is a game I would play, I just don't know if I could stand it shitting on DX1 every 10minutes with "cameos for the fans" or "namedropping of companies" or "hints at events that will occur in DX1". This is mtv-cyber and I'm ok with that. just don't relate it to DX1 if you don't wanna go all the way.
and what is it about that schwarzenegger trucker dude ? does every game with implants/robots have to feature a dumb brutal soldier type in roboarmor enjoying the killing... could it please get more boring ? Shame the game is coming out soon since the devs could learn many things from AlphaProtocoll (not the combat or inventory/upgrades) about dramatic tension and believable, interesting bosses although AP uses many genre templates. But 2,5m trucker dude with Duke Nukem face just won't cut it.

Yes.

I have to say, the trailer does make it look good. Looks fun. I look forward to playing this.
I stand by all of my reservations regarding the plausibility of this actually fitting into the DX universe anywhere, but if I mentally chuck all that away and just go "fuck it", then it looks pretty awesome.
I'll just view it as an alternative universe type deal, like they do with comics. "ULTIMATE Deus Ex" or something. :p

Corny as fuck. Pretty much shouts THIS IS GOING TO BE GAME ABOUT A CONSPIRACY! BOOOYAH! in your face which makes as much sense as FPSes on consoles. Somehow reminds me of MGS2 intro as it seems to be put together from fragments of in-game cinematics. The music was noticeable which is a plus. And of course the super primitive experimental augmentation in the game is more advanced than Denton's nanoaugs. Look! My limbs change into guns! Jesus.
Current verdict: Bioshock

Unlike say, Deus Ex's intro, which was a masterpiece of subtlety and restraint.

Nanos are way more advanced than anything mechanical, you dolt.
