haha reminds me of when I went to kill Jacob White and was supposed to keep him alive. Tranq'd him and he fell into an electrified pool of scum water and died >.<
but yeah, there are a number of instances in which knocked out people end up getting killed in this game, unfortunately. Happened to me with Double T as well, but who cares since I couldn't complete Cloaks and Daggers, anyway?

Another cautionary note for nonlethal players: The Smash through walls aug has an unfortunate additional "feature". If there's some mope standing right on the other side of the wall you smash, Adam will automagically grab him and snap his neck.
I'm glad I made a save before trying this one out... I may skip it. This playthrough may not end up being entirely nonlethal - I'm waiting for some type of MJ12-like enemy who I want dead to appear, but I'm still poking around Detroit and knocking out side quests before I continue with my primary objectives. I'm just about to enter the cop shop. I have my own particular set of rules about who to kill and who to KO, as I did in the first game.

It's done. I beat it. 41 hours and 30 minutes. I'll get into what I liked and what I didn't later. But for now, I've finally got this monkey off my back, so I'm gonna get some sleep.

Just found an incredibly easy way to kill Fedorova. When she charges at you at the start, stun her with the stun gun. Then take out a weapon and wail on her. She'll take out her guns. Run. Reload the stun gun. Put some concussion mines around yourself. She'll charge again and get stunned by a mine. Repeat. She goes down super quick.

Just beat 2nd boss myself.
I managed to do it in only 4 or 5 tries (on GMDE). The difficulty really seems to depend on what items you have with you. If you upgraded your lungs you can throw out gas grenades which keep her choking for quite a long time.
You can also destroy the electric conduits yourself with EMP grenades (probably other ways too) which allows you to set them off at times convenient for you rather than for her. It seems you can also do good damage to her in this way if you catch her in the water.
You still have to bunny hop rather ludicrously from time to time.

Bought my brand new copy yesterday. Finally have a day off to get into it today. I am almost to the end of the first (warehouse) mission. So far, better than I expected but a bit 'weird'. Can't explain it properly, just a strange game so far.

That's because it was made in Canada. The French part of it.

Haha!
Got back to the Home Base. Ghosted the shit out of the 1st mission. For the most part, this is the greatest game I have played since Alpha Protocol. AP was excellent, but this trumps it in all areas. Seriously, I haven't been this happy with a purchase in a long while. 1st new title I purchased @ full price for my 360, actually.
Oh. The faces are fucked. God, are they ugly and just fucked looking. I just came from LA Noire, but still...

Speaking of French, it's weird how Adam seems to have automatic translation software for Chinese->English but not French->English.
And yeah, the faces are mainly dreadful.
At some point a few hours in I had a sudden realisation that I was playing a real game. By that I mean that most recent games I've played (STALKER=exception) have been so shallow or bullshitty or full of cheap shots that I've actually been conditioned into playing in a careless and half-interested way.
The beauty of DXHR is that it made me realise that my failures were usually due to my own rashness and lack of thought rather than lack of adequate reflexes or prescience.
The sense of involvement makes me want to try harder for my own sake, rather than to get more fucking achievement points than my brother. The real Adam Jensen wouldn't try a level 5 hack without plotting his route!

Yeah, I am playing it like you and made the same observation about it to myself.
