And this turd has the gall to whine about how I'm the passive aggressive one.

oss fights were meh, but I discovered from the leak that that Barret and Yelena can be owned with the stun gun - it stuns them longer that it takes to reload, so Jensen can just stand there and keep popping them til they go down. Barret takes 20+ darts, Yelena 30+ darts; combo with the Typhoon if you wanna speed it up. (I go for mostly takedowns so I save up all my stun gun darts for the bosses and special situations where takedowns doesn't cut it, such as when bailing Malik out of the fire).
Stocking up some EMP grenades is also an effective way to wail on them for a bit. Concussion works too, but I've found they have a greater tendency to catch you too. I also read that bosses CAN lose sight of you like regular enemies, and was able to verify that in my own play through.

Pretty sure I was just being straight up aggressive. Why aren't you banned?

I dunno about the other bosses, but Barrett will definitely lose sight of you if you stun him and run away.

Even if you just gas him (Barrett) with a cannister he unfocuses for a moment, giving you a breather.

Sorry for the double post. I have a question regarding Jensen's malfunctioning chip. In previous playthrus I went ahead & had the chip replaced at the Hengsha Limb clinic, but this time I noticed that Pritchard is really giving Adam a choice as to whether or not he wants to do this. So what happens if I don't have Jensen's faulty chip replaced? Does he end up keeling over at some later point in the game? Will the evil Asian bitch still be able to temporarily render his augs useless (like when he has to fight Namir)? Or does it even make a difference?
Anybody, please?

For heaven's sake, Dia. :p Aside from one more brief "glitch", there's no downside to avoiding the PAINFULLY OBVIOUS TROJAN HORSE biochip. In fact, there's an upside: you get to see this game's Dragon Lady look all disconcerted when she tries to shut you down and it doesn't work. Adam even has a snappy comeback, although he probably should've shot her.

I'm rather slow on the uptake sometimes, Pyrian. I've been doing what I've been told to do (in the game) like a good little cyborg augmented person, and this is the first time I really gave it any thought. :o All along I thought I had to go get Jensen's chip fixed or he'd just spaz out & die or something. Guess I was more concerned with getting on with the next part of the mission.
But thanks for the info; can't wait to get to the part you mentioned. :thumb:

Well. I just finished HR again, but failed to get the Pacifist achievement. I guess when you turn the turrets and bots on enemies they count as your kills. :( On a lighter note; it was great facing Namir with all my augs up & running. One frag 'nade & one typhoon shot & he was down for the count. I'm definitely likin' that.
I have to say that after my initial, rather negative reaction to the game (had trouble getting the hang of the whole stealth thing) I'm really loving it. So much so, in fact, that I'm considering trying to play one more time on the toughest difficulty to see if I can get the Legend achievement. Trying not to kill any enemies was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Especially since some of them really, really deserved it.
Who's obsessed? :p

I considered getting the chip replaced in my first playthrough, and then I saw who the head of the WHO was, and was all 'nope. fuck that.'

I think I'd be - The moment I stepped out of Sarifs building (and talked with the mother) I stood there for a long time, watching the scenery and told myself: Yep, that is how I like to see a Cyberpunk genre come to life.
Add the whole dynamic soundtrack and the awesome integration (filtered according to location AND inventory screen - woot!) and I'd definitely do this a second time - especially as I found out I missed one side mission. (and had one confirmed casualty right at Maliks rescue - which I didn't want to re-try)
But, time will have to pass a bit, so to forget a bit of both choices and events.
And, given the upcoming Rage and Skyrim, that time will be probably in the far future for now :)
