Painman, dethtoll: point taken. :D Embarrassingly enough, I knew of Alex Jones.

I thought the radio guy reminded me more of Glenn Beck than anyone.

Argh. My PC died just before I got DXHR so it took me a month to scrap up the funds for to pay for the repair (motherboard failure). Read some plot spoilers to keep myself appeased but not enough to ruin the gameplay for me.
Got it fixed 4 days a ago and I finished it over 3 days of solid playthrough (inbetween jobs so I play 8 - 12 hours / per day for the last 3 days).
Focused on hacking everything - reloaded if hacks don't go right and went for all the rewards, so I ended up with 40+ Stops and 70+ Nukes.
Boss fights were meh, but I discovered from the leak that that Barret and Yelena can be owned with the stun gun - it stuns them longer that it takes to reload, so Jensen can just stand there and keep popping them til they go down. Barret takes 20+ darts, Yelena 30+ darts; combo with the Typhoon if you wanna speed it up. (I go for mostly takedowns so I save up all my stun gun darts for the bosses and special situations where takedowns doesn't cut it, such as when bailing Malik out of the fire). That trick didn't work with Namir, so I had to fight him straight up - good think I had a tricked out AR with 500 rounds by then and can finally put it to good uses after a mostly pacifiist run (Ruined the Pacifist achievement by killing in the prologue - at least I still got the Hounds achievement).
Overall, very nice and IMO worthy of the DX name. It's sad I had to wait one extra month to play but then I was tied down with work so it all worked out in the end.

I´m loving this game, i already had more than 20 lovely hours playing this game and i haven´t reach the end yet :D, i have the limited edition, with that Tong exclusive mission, and the copy i bought from fnac store aparently was the only they had in the shelfs for pc, but luckly i got it in the first place , this game has a great design, this is the best deus ex ever made so far, loving the gameplay and the story is also good.
One question, how do i identify characters that may give me side missions?
Sulphur on 22/9/2011 at 22:20
They usually have actual names instead of 'Civilian' or 'Working Girl' or other generic descriptions.

Try this cardia: (

I missed most of the side quests the first time around and am determined to get them all this time. Only problem is that I think I might have to uninstall/reinstall the game since Steam isn't picking up the new achievements on my second playthru.
:(

You're not playing in offline mode, are you?
AFAIK, they'll still register once you go back online, but I'm not 100% sure.
I've never been a big fan of trophies/achievements, but I have to admit, getting "Foxiest of the Hounds" on my second playthrough felt kinda good.

Huh, is that all of them? Picked all of them up, though I did skip on doing Bar Tab and Talion A.D. Bad case of the couldn't be bothered.
I thought I was missing out on more of them 'cause I finished the game in 22 hours whereas others were reporting much longer play times, but I guess it was just down to my playing on Medium.

I had a semi-hard time finding a list of all the side-missions, but I think this is all of them (maybe?). I have no idea how long it took me to finish the game, since I had to go back to a previous level & restart from there a couple times. And I explore a lot, too.
I'm on my 2nd playthru now. You could play HR over and over and each time it'd be a tad different. I like that. :thumb:
