By the way, is that why some people have reported that the 'crazies' later in the game don't attack them? I was thinking perhaps they don't attack if they 'sense' that you have the same chip as they do? Or was that just a glitch for a few people?

I had to do some digging to confirm this was doable with the scam chip, but there you have it. Try to get close to him as he's climbing over a wall- in other words, watch him closely- and spam that takedown key until it fucking snaps off. Problem solved.
You'll have to get your timing just right, though. I think you have to do it before he's finished climbing over the wall.
Thanks dt; I'll give it a try. The first couple times I was just trying to get oriented and regain some semblance of control. I was also overtired and had been playing
way too long!

You can also hack the turret in the courtyard, then lug it down to the boss fight room if you're so inclined.
Hadn't thought of that. Interesting. If all else fails I might give that a try.

If you have the headshot mod for the assault rifle as I did, that's also very useful- in fact, that's how I managed to win. I just played keepaway a lot, hit him with the PEPS from time to time, and just unloaded on him.

Namir really pissed the everloving crap out of me. I went in for
the "upgrade" in Hengsha earlier so my augs were off an my vision scrambled, which didn't help one bit. I ended up dropping that turret at the entrance and just running around the outer circle of the map, over and over and
over, taking potshots with the shotgun at him when he popped up at the openings to the inner circle. Took forever.

It's just a bug. I had the new chip installed and they still had the hots for my augmented manmeat.

I can't believe how many of you guys actually installed the obviously trojan horse biochip. :p What'd you think was going to happen? Overall I think you got off easy. :laff:
I had the non-attacking bug, too, sans the biochip. Silly, but... Melee opponents when I have an "auto-win" takedown button and lots and lots of energy? I'm not sure the bug made them any more harmless. :D

I screwed myself over through reverse-reverse-psychology. Super fucking subversive. :(

Yeah, that overthinking almost got me. Turns out the conspirators weren't that clever.
One thing I looked forward to but didn't happen was the Rush Limbaugh-inspired conspiracy radio guy. Disappointingly, he doesn't figure in the plot. Was he a part of the system, a safety valve and a way to discredit people spreading conspiracy theories, perhaps? Based on his Elisa-like ubiquity, I am leaning towards that interpretation.

Whu? Rush Limbaugh-inspired? Rush is a bought and paid for water-bearer for the status quo. He's even admitted as much.
You're obviously not 'Murkan.

Very scary.
He needs some doggy downers.
