DX rocks. I'd love to see the/a movie, and I'd definately go see it.
The only problem I can see is that DX is now 5 years old - if/when the project is ever complete too many people will have forgotten about the game it was derived from.

hmm...yes, anime does seem to TRY at being philosophical, but i always find that it fails. miserably.
it's generally horribly convoluted with all sorts of crap about robots, the afterlife, aliens, the difference between humans and machines, and 36MMM cup tits.
the philosophical point of much anime is also usually moot.
i think japanese people like to tend to go over the top on everything, so there's a whole lot of trouble looking at the more subtle aspects of anime. dunno. maybe some sort of cultural conditioning allows them to appreciate it among all the glitz?

Philip K. Dick and Jorge Louis Borges
*Jorge L
uis Borges*. just sayin'. also, i agree. william gibson kind of follows suit with the japanese-- lots of style, and that's what people get caught up by, bypassing anything deeper.
