Could the events of the game be an analogy of the War in Heaven?
I've often believed that Satan was indeed God's true Protoge`. but no, this isn't really analogous because satan LOST the war in heaven, but he did win control over his life. Satan succeeded the moment he rebelled in being self-preserving, self-willed, self-reliant, and self-interested. He is the icon of the 21C person, who grapples with self doubt, shame, pride, the longing to be master of one's own fate.
it isn't analogous in this hard sense - Denton doesn't spend the rest of his life foiling unatco's little inventions, or MJ12's plans. HE annihilates them, renders them useless.
Eberon - sorry this and all the above are wayyyy of topic. couldn't resist a comment

I don't know if anyone ever noticed, but JC Denton's trenchcoat-and-body-armour look is very much like the style of Blade in the movie.
Thermoptic Camo: There's a gang in Neuromancer who wear some kind of camoflage wear all the time. I think they are called the Panther Moderns.

Ahem.
The Robert Ludlum book "The Sigma Protocol" features (wait for it) the U.S intelligence officer Anna Navarro. No, seriously. I'm not making that up. No, really. Can you believe that? I can't believe it's coicidence - someones ripping someone else off....

Hi All,
If UNATCO Security levels are all based on Christian Symbolism:angel: :ebil: , how come Jock has a security level of at least "Domination/5F" which has nothing to do with christian symbolism. See Jocks Apartment in HongKong, Directly Opposite Maggie Chow's Flat.
At the same time however the guy on the cigarette Advertisement in the Warehouse District does look very much like a Catholic "Christ Image Giving a blessing".
King Ronald on 17/9/2002 at 17:16
Well.........if I remember correctly, Jock was a freelance helicopter pilot, and worked for every branch of the U.S secret service from the NSA to CIA to UNATCO. His Domination/5F clearance was probably a helicopter grade (like black belt in karate, he is a master pilot or something) and thus seperate to the whole UNATCO/MJ12 thing.
Or maybe it was just a major plot hole.
Ah well.

Just because we have this idea that the clearence levels are "Christian" doesn't mean that our idea is right. As for Jocks clearence level, so what; so now it throws a wrench in the idea. it's like a strawberry in your Cheerios, just because the strawberry isn't the whole of the breakfast doesn't make it any less edible.

King Ronald: AFAIK you could be right, but the MJ12 troops in HK also have domination/5f clearance and they would be part of the MJ12/Unatco Command
Structure rather than freelance.
Also did anyone notice MR T as one of the triads in HK?
When you visit chen you go through the conversation about the Sword and then he runs off to watch the MJ12 troops. After he does if you rummage through his desks and stuff one of his bounces tells you to "State your business" The other says in a totally different accent something like "You are a fool" bt he pronounces it in the same way as BA baraccus did "I pity da foo". When you go over and look at him he has long sideburns and a moheichan hair cut.

OK, here's one I haven't heard yet:
The first person to creae a movie in 3D utilising holograms
was:
Alex Jacobson - in 1969
Given Alex's roll in the game and the fact that many
Hologram Communication devices exist in the game
it seems a relevant connection.
