OK I just reinstalled this game today to play it again but when setting up the options I encountered a problem using the 32-bit color depth option. Every time I try to run the game with this option the game runs very slow and then locks up on the main menu screen. I have a 1.5GHz athlon XP, 512MBRAM, and Ge4200Ti video. I haven't downloaded the patch yet, though... still waiting in line at Fileplanet. Any ideas why or how to fix?

Just the usual ideas...
* Update drivers for your video card (I use the DNA drivers for ATI)
* Update software (which you said you're doing)
* Make sure your BIOS is set up properly (99 times out of 100 you don't want to mess with the factory settings, unless you built your machine yourself or changed hardware)
* Test another rendering mode (like OpenGL)

Installed the patch and 32-bit colors works fine now :cool:
