(
http://www.dccomics.com/wildstorm/comics/?cm=17024) It's happening.
First issue out in February. Apparently Wildstorm also makes the Kane and Lynch, Gears of War, World or Warcraft, Mirror's Edge ... and, oh hell (
http://www.dccomics.com/wildstorm/graphic_novels/) A WHOLE BUNCH of videogame and TV-seriers based comicbooks. Has anyone read anything by them? Any good?
The guy writing the Deus Ex comic is Robbie Morrison, writer for the Judge Dredd comic throughout the 90's, and a winner of one Eagle Award. Uh... yeah. I'm not a big comicbook reader so I don't know if any of this means anything. I'm not at all familiar with superhero comics, though I
did just order The Dark Knight Returns, so maybe I'll get into this stuff.
Anyway, what do you guys think about this?

A novel and a comic book series? I'm wondering whether these things are seen primarily as a marketing effort for the game or primarily as secondary revenue stream. Either way, Eidos seem to have ample access to Square's chequebook.

Maybe Wildstorm was saved at the last minute by signing a deal with a certain high-profile games publisher to make a comic out of a certain high-profile cyberpunk game.
Talk about yer deus ex machinas!
