Inspired by some of the great exploration over in the thief Forums
I thought I'd have a go at doing it with Deus Ex, here are my first two results
anyone care to try some more.
All these are run using Speed enhancement at full Level,
Between the upgrades in both sections of versalife and
those you collect from jaime and find, this should be an
achievable goal, although I just cheated since I had to get
to these levels anyway.
1) Hong Kong Tonnichi Road
(yes I know this level has valid platforms to explore from jocks' flat but the aim is to find new places)
Starting on maggie chow's roof go to the corner that isn't touching any walls,
(Corner facing Jocks flat and next to alleyway)
Climbing on the wall that faces jocks flat, look towards the alleyway and see
a rooftop other side of the alley, take a diagonal run across the corner (to get enough speed) and jump over to it.
From there look down the street away from the entrance to the level
you'll see another rooftop that appears to be too far to jump to, because it's
so far down though, you drop enough to make it.
Getting the angle right on this one is difficult there's a very narrow diffence between hitting the wall and missing the roof, you might want to save and try a few times till you get it right.
From here you have two options, there is a small alleyway beside this building and you can drop down behind the wall that defines the edge of the game world or there is another roof (very small opposite) The first time I used god mode and tried the former, which lets you run around the outside of the level. I'm going to try again and try to jump to the small roof this time.

2) The canals
This one is even easier, starting next to the policemen and
the entrance to tonichi road.
Facing towards the end of the canal with the big boats,
look up and you will see an advertising sign.
First jump onto the railing that prevents people falling
into the canal, from here you want to get close to the sign
posts and jump onto the metal support pole that holds the sign up.
I did this by walking into it then jumping whilst pushing forward.
Next Jump onto the smaller of the two signs, then up onto the larger
one, from here you will see you are next to a bridge that is part of a building
you can then jump on top of this.
Follow this to the far end and you can see a red building in the direction
of the boats, jump onto this.
Finally, you can wander behind the scenes and see some bits of the market that have been recreated in tis level.

Still to work out:
Along with the end of tonicchi road, I think there is also another in the canals
it exists where Tonnichi road would be if the levels were all one, I think it can be reached by clibming up the swing bridge.

Ok, tonicchi road if you jump onto small
building you hurt both legs (but survive)
you can now jump onto small wall and climb
over into the lands beyod.

Now wan chai market:
If you have the muscle aug when you enter Wan chai for the first time,
you can pick up the crate and three barrels that sit near the MJ12 elevator
take them to the circular building (near the temple and compound)
now you need a couple of small crates (you can get them on the smugglers boat in canals)
line all the barrels up against the wall that is the foundation of the circular building
now use the small crate to stand on one then up onto the wall, once on the wall
lift one up use a small crate to stand on it and onto the nearby roof.
repeat for all barrels and crates (once you are standing on the last barrel pick up the small crate and throw it up)
Next pile at least three of the large items on top of each other with a slight overlap so you can climbe them.
Climb up to the second circular level of the building then walk round, youll find yourself able to jump over onto the roof of the temple and from here into the compund. Unfortunatly since you haven't spoken to gordon all of the lumious path will jump on you and attempt to kill you, havent managed to talk to tong yet.
Once youve got the speed aug you can return to the building and start gathering all the large unbreakable crates from the smuggles boat and moving them up here. get a high enough pile going and you can jump up to the third circular level. (its taken me two hours this afternoon to get this right with cheats enabled, you'll need some patience)
If you walk round the third level you'll find it takes you out behind the level design into the lands, beyond.

I'm not sure why,
If you keep climbing the circular building in Wan Chai market,
when you reach the top (unable to use crates too high, use
fly cheat )
Anyway, when you reach the top of the building max chen is
standing there wandering around, I assume he's waiting
to play his sequence in the temple.
It just seems a strange place to find him.
Also in canals the Schoolgirl from tonnichi road is where
she would bif the road existed, must be there so you can
see her walk past the alley. (which is in the wrong place)

Try using LAMs as a ladder.
you can put one on the wall, jump on it and do this all the way up a wall.

Is it like Thief where you can pick it up again below you
by disarming it?

Basically, the first post had a pic of Chen up the building, right on the edge, and I think he said "this is the edge of arrogance" or something like that.
It's also funny, if you return to him there instead of the Lucky Money (as I did one time), his advisor tells him they get attacked. You don't hear the other person, but that doesn't stop Chen from giving his part of the dialogue...

I seem to remember trying this before,
however it has some limitations, can't easily turn
outward facing corners or get around lips in walls.
You also can't move down or Across.
For instance trying to eliminate maggie chow:
(not because I have to, I just like killing her)
Usually to kill maggie I got to speak to her,
but don't get close enough to start the converstion
go to window facing jock's appt and leave LAM
on window.
I then head back downstairs hack the computer in
the queens and open the back door. go in back door
climb up lift shaft or take lift.
Jump from roof down to jock's appt, shoot LAM.
with Lam climbing I thought I could make this easier
by putting the lam on the outside of the window.
* is that the queens has a lip you cant climb round.
* is that if you choose to climb the building next to the queens
you have to negotiate an outward facing corner.
* if you negotiate the building behind the queens you start moving across too late to make the window (you can jump down to it)
* if you climb the building across the alley from Queens, you can jump down to the window, but have no way to get off the ledge as all sides are lips and can't be passed.
* if you leave a Lam on an opposite wall or try to jump to jock's Appt you dont have enough room to get speed and will fall.

Having said this their are some great places you can get to using Lam climbing,
I'm just trying to stir someone into developing a better method :)
I would recommend some lam climbing in the marketplace, try the highest building (the one that sits directly above the market)
The other place is to lam climb over the building that sits between The drawbridge and and tonnichi road in Canals there are some interesting sites over there including "the monolith" and "The Hole". If you don't want to use lam climbing it can also be done by piling the crates from the smuglers ship on the drawbridge, starting at the center of the bridge, with two large crates and two small each overlapping toward the dam. then climb them and jump onto the dam or the dock by it's side.
