Hmm. Sounds borked. I knocked out one cop and managed to get the "nobody saw me" result. (Maybe one of the bodies perished by accident? That used to happen in Invisible War all the time; carrying an unconscious body was frequently lethal.)
I can't get through the shooting range without a crash. I've heard if you drop all your inventory before going in, it works better, but I can't be bothered.
There's a part near the beginning of Deus Ex 1 - first arrival in Hell's Kitchen - where you can either help UNATCO fight the NSF or start investigating. I've found it very difficult to get the "helped UNATCO fight" trigger; it's not enough to be there, it's not enough to go in guns blazing, I think there's either a specific guy you have to kill or maybe you have to score a certain number of kills? And you really don't have much equipment yet, the best I've done is run in blazing away with the sawed-off from the sunken ship, and even then it's maybe 50/50 at best.

It's possible, though I haven't had anyone die yet from a body dragging.
I could also say that overreacting to a few cops with bruises on their heads, calling it a vicious Aug terrorist attack would be something that the Prague police force would totally do.

Also, the City 17-ness of it is a bit hilarious, especially when the first person you meet there is a woman named Alex, complete with quizzical facial expressions.
Been playing awhile and having a bit of fun with it. TF29 HQ feels a lot like UNATCO on liberty island, and the music helps a lot, even if the whole setting feels kinda "24"
Re: Alex. It took me until you meet up with her for the 2nd time at
the abandoned limb clinic. If you fish for information about her she tells you about her past and getting out of Belltower. She is very cryptic, but I realized that she's the Belltower pilot that Ben Saxon deals with in The Fall. She's a recurring character. I feel dumb for not figuring that out sooner by reading her stuff in the in-game codex.

Agreed, though it doesn't explain Jensen's conversation.

That is the one fly in the ointment. Though it's hard to say whether my end results came about due to a bug, or because EM didn't consider adding in a 3rd outcome for the mission that fell between "they never even knew I was there", and "they fired first, and I responded in kind."
Either way, it totally ruined my immersion and I hate it forever and ever.

I ended up in an "interesting" situation in the underground casino where the people there didn't like me much but weren't completely my enemies yet. If they did see me, they would become hostile after a short time and all attack me at once. Because they weren't my enemies until that happened, I wasn't able to use Takedowns to knock them out, I had to use tranq darts. Also, they were very sensitive to bodies, possibly more than usual, and if they saw one they would become hostile and all attack me at once. Sometimes it seemed like they already knew where I was when that happened, maybe because they had been my frenemies just moments before. I'm not sure yet if it matters story-wise, but I didn't want them to consider me their enemy, so I didn't want to alert them and then wait for them to calm down. It took me many tries, but I was eventually able to get the two of them that were really in my way tranquilized and stowed away where they couldn't be seen. I was able to finish my business and leave without the rest knowing I was there.
This was only a minor annoyance, but I figured I'd share.
I'm really enjoying the game, despite a few small issues like this (no more than any of the other games in the series had).

Oh, I hate that. I'll bet they changed it because of all those famous videos of Jensen beating up random hookers in Human Revolution. But it's seriously annoying when you have civvies around that'll run to the nearest guard if they spot you. "Oh, I can't punch you? Bzot."
EDIT: I've recently used a takedown on a non-hostile. It didn't present the option - but the button still worked. I think that behavior may be exactly the same as DX:HR, come to think of it.
One of my favorite memories from DX:HR was late in the Hengsha portion. I'm going through a side mission, checking to see if a civvy has new text from recent events. He starts into a standard spiel, the most common in that area, and I try to walk around him, but hit the wrong button.
"Welcome to Hengsha rooftop garde - huh?" KAPOW!
Maybe it's just funny 'cause I was sick of hearing that.

Apparently the new patch does wonders. I wouldn't know because I'm stuck trying to download a 22 GB game at ~100 KBps while the power goes on and off randomly.

Man, The Throat has a big ol' lead in for something so easily bypassed. Is it worth searching the rest of it? I don't even know what it's supposed to be or anything.

And I'm done!
The ending wasn't nearly so abrupt as I expected it to be. There is a story arc going on with a proper climax and boiling down point. It just, as Froghawk said, suffers from middle-of-a-trilogy syndrome, since it closes out with a few loose ends acknowledged, but still left hanging, and one big cliffhanger to get you geared up for the next part.
I don't have a problem with this, so long as it doesn't take another 5 years for the next DX to show up.
edit: I should add that since all of us have played the original DX, we know have a good idea of how the next game is going to end. For us, the cliffhangers are more in the incidental details, rather than the overarching plot. I'll spoiler this just in case, but as of the end of Manky, you could say that EMs rev of the DX series is the story of how Bob Page screws over the Illuminati, and forms MJ12.
